Christa opened the door to Vanaheim with a smile on her face, it was the same thing everyday but she loved it. The bars atmosphere, the customers and her boss wasn't the worst either. She waved at Cynthia, who was standing in her office organizing some things, "How was the day shift boss? Boring as usual?"
"You know it chief, only the same guys with depressing lives."
She laughed, "How it always is." Christa went behind the bar and tied her half-apron around her waist and did her usual routine. Checking every bottle to see if it needed replaced, she was surprised to find everything stocked to the brim. Must've been a really boring day today. Christa eyed Cynthia as she began to lock her office with her things in tow, "You're sure in a rush, eh?"
"Got a date with some guy I met online, not really my type but you gotta try new things right? If you need me you have my number."
Nodding, Christa gave a small wave, "Don't have too much fun now." She sighed after Boss left, she was hoping for some new customers today but knowing her luck she'd be stuck with either nothing or some crackhead.

I'm constantly disappointed in life
❝ Why was he going to a bar? He didn't even drink. Adrian told himself it was so he could try and learn more things through other means than what he usually did. Maybe it was because of his newfound partnership with the elusive and enigmatic 404, who caused him ridiculous levels of stress and gave him the desire to drink just so he could stop hearing them hurl insult after insult at him. Nah, he kinda liked 404 now that he thought about it. Maybe it was just good to go around the town and see what kind of places there were, while not under the guise of a mask or from the top floor of Morei Tech. It felt much different when he wasn't holding his guns or threatening criminals. It was nice to just kick back and enjoy everything on occasion. At least, he hoped that's what would happen today. Vanaheim ended up being the place he'd try today, and after some hesitation, he would finally enter. He was greeted with a cozy, calm atmosphere and not many customers inside. Part of him wished there would be more people just so the chances of him sticking out were lower, but some things couldn't be helped. Donned in his usual leather jacket, black undershirt, and black jeans, Adrian would walk into the bar while taking a look around. It certainly looked much cleaner than he was used to seeing in a place like this, and there weren't the usual unbearable drunkards or people picking fights for no real reason... yet. Maybe he had just come at a good time. Heading to a seat away from everyone else, Adrian would take a seat at the bar, taking a look at all of the liquor in the back. At least the barkeep was kinda cute. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

As Christa filled up one of the patrons drinks, she noticed a man walk through the front doors. "Some crackhead it is then." Christa noted in her head before putting out that Customer Service™. She walked behind the bar and immediately began cleaning a glass, this guy looked kinda familiar but she couldn't place a finger on it.
"Welcome to Vanaheim." Christa eyed the newcomer, checking the glass briefly before she asked the all important question, "What can I get for you today?"

❝ Well, that was fast. The bartender came up to him practically immediately. At least he couldn't fault the place for customer service, she was on top of her game. Unfortunately, it was a little too fast. He had no idea what he would've wanted, and so he felt an incredibly awkward moment coming on if he didn't think fast. Thankfully, fast thinking was his strong suit. "Uhhhh..."Okay, maybe it wasn't. Adrian would take a seat at the bar, looking at the various bottles behind her. God, how did anyone memorize that many drinks? He took a moment, before looking at the bartender. "Do you have anything, uh..." He looked nervously at the other people in the bar, realizing he couldn't ask for something easy. What was something his dad always liked? "Jack and coke?" He asked, unsure. It was what Eero always had after unwinding from a long day. He would've preferred to just have the coke, but he couldn't look like a sucker. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

This guy was definitely on something. Christa attempted to maintain eye contact with him but averted her eyes to the counter below to pretend like she was cleaning or something. His nervous twitching was starting to put her on edge.
"Jack and coke?"
Did it seriously take him that long to order a jack and coke? Christa cleared her throat and nodded, "Yeah, sure." She proceeded to spin around on her heel, for moment she wanted to ask 'Single or double?' but decided to avoid it this time around. Grabbing Mr. Daniels off of the rack, she pours a shots worth into the glass she was cleaning. Reaching into the fridge and cracking open a can of soda she looks back up at Adrian as she pours, "Either you're not much of a drinker or you're not very social." She didn't attempt to sound bitter, more like she was genuinely curious as to how he'd reply.

❝ Yes, Jack and Coke. Did it really sound that strange? Was it an unusual combination? Was his father just a weirdo? Well, Eero was pretty weird. Adrian remained quiet as she poured the drink with what he could only describe as practiced finesse. She then made a comment that made him tense up momentarily, but he would sigh and look down to the counter before answering her. "Was it that easy to tell that I'm not much of a drinker?" He'd ask. "It was actually my dad's favorite drink. I was just struggling to remember what it was for a moment. Long day and all."It's been a long day every day for the last few years. But he wasn't sure if he wanted this to turn into the 'stranger rants his life out to the bartender just doing her job' trope. She probably got that enough from most of the guys who came through here to drink their woes away. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Christa just shakes her head, "Nah, I just have a lot of experience under my belt." She finished pouring the soda, tossing it in the trash, "It's easy to tell the difference between drunks, party goers and people who are just having a bad time." Picking up a bar towel, she wipes the condensation off the sides of the glass. Christa then places the glass in front of Adrian, "There you are, it's probably one of the more beginner friendly drinks to order." She cleans up the area a bit and turns to Adrian again, "You said it's been a long day? Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to ask but... If you need to rant, go for it."
Something about this guy piqued her interest, like there was something mysterious about him.
