Be Polite:

This is pretty straightforward.

Be Able To Separate In-Character From Out-of-Character:

Someone might be role-playing a evil bad guy, but that doesn’t reflect on who they are in real life, so don’t treat them that way. Never let in-character events affect how you treat another player out of character, or vice versa. Don’t let how you feel about someone out of character affect in-character interactions either. Just play your character true to themselves.

No Meta-Gaming:

That’s when you use knowledge you as the player might have, but your character doesn’t. That’s lame, don’t do it.

No God-Modding:

This is when you basically make your character… well, a god. Unbeatable, all powerful, all knowing—just, no. Don’t do that.

No Drama:

"Hold up! Drama in character can make for a story!" Well, that's true. But drama out of character? Absolutely not allowed. If you have beef with a member, deal with in privately. Do not bring it to the board, and definitely don’t drag other members into it. This place is supposed to be fun and safe.

No Griefing, Flaming, or Being a Jerk in General:

We want this site to be a safe, fun place for our members. Flaming is basically personally attacking someone, or insulting them with hostile intent. A griefer is someone who deliberately irritates and angers other players within a game. Honestly, the simplest way of putting this is to say: Dont. Be. A Jerk.

Track Your Stats, Please:

It’s how we can make sure everyone is playing fair.

Character Deaths:

You are not allowed to kill another player’s character without their permission. Alright? Alright.

Mature Content:

Keep everything PG13 or below. No exceptions, this is a Proboards rule. This means no grotesque and gratuitously violent acts put in detail, as well as overtly sexual acts. Implications are fine, fade to black and all that stuff. But don’t actually role-play sexual acts. This is absolutely not the place for that.

The Umbrella Rule:

This is basically covering everything we haven't covered—meaning loopholes and stuff like that. If you find a way to take advantage of a part of our board, or do something that’s not okay but isn’t specifically spoken about in the rules, it’s still not okay. The staff here has the authority to tell you to stop.
